Our client, a large milk transformer in the Russian Federation and West-Europe, increases its vertical integration. The Group is successively expanding its own milk processing operations with the aim of becoming a leading fully integrated producer of dairy products. To enhance the further sustainable growth, we are currently looking in a permanent and fix term position for an


Dairy and Cheese Development Specialist 100% (w/m)


This position is a key role in supporting the raw milk production plant reaching its full potential – developing existing products and researching new ones.



  • Lead and support prototype development for customers and new projects / concepts

  • Fully utilize the pilot plant to demonstrate the value of new technologies through product formulation

  • Understand project needs, define work plans, keep appropriate records and provide status updates to project teams and key stakeholders

  • Stay engaged with industry trends and technical developments to best respond to company needs.

  • Leverages networks within and outside the organization

  • Complete full cycle formulation experiments from beginning to end and execute trials, experiments or scale-ups based on customer and project needs

  • Prioritize, plan and deliver own goals as part of the team. Interact effectively across all levels of an organization. Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment (Microthermics, homogenizer, etc.) with in-depth knowledge of formulation and processing (hot fill, cold fill, UHT processes)

  • Design and complete experiments involving dairy ingredients, high sweeteners, starches, hydrocolloids, colors, preservatives and flavors

  • Perform experimental design, statistical data analysis and interpretation of data

  • Focus on driving improved process efficiencies, improved product quality and lower ingredient costs

  • Work collaboratively with peers and others adapting to shifting priorities. Offer new ideas and think out of the box

  • Provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership



  • Degree in Food Science or related field (chemistry, biology, physics, etc.)

  • 3-5 years of experience in product development, dairy science and analytics; dairy product development experience preferred

  • Experience with experimental design, statistical data analysis and interpretation of results is preferred

  • Experience with Pilot plant, CPG, homogenizers, separators, HTST, UHT and other unit operations for dairy preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Highly analytical, detail orientated and a demonstrated strong sense of business management; proven ability to communicate new ideas and ability to deliver solutions

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously

  • English fluent, Russian advantage
