The industrial technology company specializes in the compression of a wide range of gases. The focus is on hydrogen technology, while overall sustainability is at the center of all business activities. The company is committed to making a substantial and measurable contribution to the global energy transition and thus creating long-term value - for the environment, society and the company itself. The R&D department employs over 30 engineers who work with this goal in mind to further develop market-leading technologies. Highly specialized personnel are required to secure and maintain the leading market role. Technically skilled project management is particularly in demand to successfully lead various research projects in a technically competent and at the same time entrepreneurial manner.
The solution
Martin Brügger has been supporting Burckhardt Compression for two and a half years now as project manager for various research and development projects. He started during the pandemic, working 100% remotely; today he spends two thirds of his time on site.
As a mechanical engineer, he has the necessary technical expertise, and his leadership skills complement his profile perfectly. As an external employee he brings an outside perspective but is also a fully integrated member of the team.
The result
The mandate has been running since January 1, 2020. The good cooperation and the ongoing shortage of specialists has led to the mandate being extended until March 2023 with potential extension.
Clients Quote
"Project management in R&D is a very important position that connects research with business, and filling this position remains a challenge - also in view of the 'war for talent'. Working with Martin is very important to us, and we also greatly appreciate the transparent and open communication with SIM in this regard."
